GAZ Group won in four of five nominations of the competition “Best commercial vehicle of the year in Russia - 2016”. The main novelty of the last year - all steel van GAZelle NEXT has been noted in the segment of low-tonnage equipment, Vector NEXT has been recognized as the Route bus of the year, bus GAZ Kursor has become the best city bus, and Ural NEXT has been awarded as the Truck of the year. Results of the most prestigious competition in production of commercial vehicles were awarded within International bus show Busworld Russia in Krokus Expo from October 25th to 27th.
GAZ Group won in four nominations out of five at the competition “Best commercial vehicle of the year in Russia - 2016”. The jury of the competition consists of automotive journalists. The main criteria when determining the best vehicles is the vehicle contribution in improving truck and passenger transportations.
Production of all steel van GAZelle NEXT began in Autumn 2015. With this model GAZ Group entered the segment of vans with the body volume more than 13 cub.m., where only foreign vehicles had been before. The volume of the cargo van is 13.5 cub.m, which is 30% more than that of the previous generation GAZelle van. Easy access to the cargo bay allows loading and unloading to be simplified to the maximum extent. The rear doors can be fixed in semi-open position at the angle of 90 degrees and and in the fully open position at the angle of 270 degrees, providing the carrier with flexibility even in confined spaces of urban environment.
Ural plant has been producing NEXT vehicles since last autumn. Vehicles of flagship family 5.5 - 13 tons payload capacity maintain traditional advantages of Ural brand - unique off-road ability and high functionality, increased reliability and comfort, improved roadability and efficiency. Trucks have modern spacious cabin NEXT which provides for high comfort of a driver and passengers. Ural NEXT off-road trucks are a good base for different kinds of specialty equipment. High operation efficiency, functionality, reliability, repairability and best off-road capabilities ever possible ensure wide utilization of the vehicles URAL NEXT in various industries.
Low-floor medium bus Kursor has been designed for routes with low and medium passenger flow and adapted for transportation of handicapped passengers. The vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine YaMZ-530 Euro-5, an automatic gearbox and designed for transportation of 75 passengers. Due to the length of 9.5 m the bus has high maneuverability having at that all characteristics of a large bus. Exterior and interior have been designed according to international standards of comfort and ergonomics. Low floor allows for convenient boarding/alighting passengers, electronic control of pneumatic suspension allows lifting and lowering the bus for overcoming the most difficult road areas.
Small bus Vector NEXT - a new generation of multi-purpose buses, built on the chassis of the medium vehicle GAZon NEXT. Upgraded chassis of GAZon NEXT ensures the bus ability to move on roads with different coating and off-road, as well. Due to a new front axle with increased turn angle, the bus has excellent maneuverability. Pneumatic suspension ensures smooth run, comfort and convenient boarding/alighting passengers. Vector NEXT is equipped with YaMZ-534 Euro-5 engine. In the new lineup of Vector NEXT buses they have paid much attention to comfort of passengers and a driver. The bus designed for transportation of 43-53 passengers has improved ergonomics of a driver’s seat, separate air conditioning system of the passenger compartment and improved noise insulation.
